How long is a 5ft dog lead in practice?
Five feet is roughly 152cm, which is the standard everyday walking length in the UK. It gives your dog enough room to sniff and move naturally on a pavement or trail, while staying short enough to keep them close and under control near roads, other dogs and people.
What is the second D-ring for?
The extra D-ring sits just below the handle and is there to carry accessories, most often a poo bag holder, so you are not holding anything in your free hand. Our matching Spellbound Autumn poo bag holder clips straight onto it, as does a treat pouch or keys.
Is the clip strong enough for a big dog?
Yes. The lead uses a heavy-duty lockable gold clip rather than a standard trigger hook, so it cannot be nudged open in use. The padded neoprene handle also spreads the load across your hand, which makes a noticeable difference on a longer walk with a stronger dog.
