We recently adopted Willow, a rescue who sadly had a very difficult start in life. She’s terrified of so many things, and even something as simple as going for a walk has felt impossible for her. When we first tried her new Bailey and Coco harness, she wasn’t particularly keen — but Willow is understandably wary of anything new, so we decided to persevere and give it another try. I’m honestly so glad we did. Willow has been so frightened of walks that we haven’t really been able to walk her properly at all. Today, we tried her in her Bailey and Coco harness again and, while I won’t pretend it was an instant miracle, the difference was genuinely amazing for us to see. She was clearly much more comfortable and less overwhelmed, and we felt more confident and in control too. For some people, a harness might seem like a small thing, but for Willow — and for us — this feels like a really significant step forward. We still have a lot of work to do with pulling, and her fear, a harness won’t fix that but it’s a step in the right direction for us <3
