Do I have to pull this harness over my dog’s head?

No. Every Trail & Glow harness fastens with a lockable security clasp at the neck, so it opens right out and wraps around instead of going over the head. That makes it a good choice for nervous or head-shy dogs, puppies still getting used to being handled, and any dog who backs away when a harness appears.

What size dog harness do I need?

Measure the widest part of your dog’s chest, just behind the front legs, and the base of the neck where a collar sits, then match both to the size guide below. The harness adjusts across three buckles, so each size covers a wide range. If your dog falls between two sizes, take the larger one: the straps tighten down but cannot add room.

Is it secure enough for a dog that pulls or backs out?

Yes. The neck clasp locks, the chest and neck straps adjust independently for a close fit, and there are two metal D-rings: a front ring that discourages pulling by turning your dog gently back towards you, and a back ring for everyday walking. The moulded handle across the back gives immediate close control near roads or other dogs.

Will my dog be visible on dark walks?

Yes. Reflective strips run around both the front and the back of the harness, so headlights and torchlight pick your dog up from either direction, whichever way they are facing.
